Port Byron Drama Club Students Take the Stage for Grease
The Port Byron Drama Club is proud to present the iconic musical Grease, a timeless story of 1950s rock 'n' roll and teenage romance. Performances will take place at Dana L. West Junior/Senior High School on Thursday, March 6 and Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, March 8.
Whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes, the Port Byron Drama Club helps students build confidence, develop a love for the arts and make lasting memories through their involvement in exciting productions.
“I have always loved the arts ever since I was little,” said freshman Lily Ridley, who plays Sandy. “I am so ecstatic and honored to be a part of this amazing program.”
“I’ve been talking about this show for years… it’s a really popular show, and it’s a long process, so it would be a great feeling to have people appreciate the work we’ve put in,” said sophomore Sophia Mucedola, who plays Jan.
Senior George Ripley, who plays Danny, says the musical will be bittersweet for him, as it will mark the culmination of his six years in the Port Byron Drama Club.
“It’s kind of sad, but it’s also rewarding to have Grease be my final show here,” he said.
Tickets are $8 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Don't miss your chance to support the talented performers as they bring this classic musical to life!
