NYS Troopers Make First Community Visit to Port Byron
Last week, the New York State Police made good on its intention to better know the community it serves, by sending Trooper David Worden to the Port Byron Central School District to learn more about the facility, the students, and the staff.
Trooper Worden toured the school(s) with Officer (and Port Byron School Resource Officer) Frank Ryan, getting the lay of the land while discussing critical issues such as student safety and building security. He greeted curious students and faculty with a smile and a handshake, and learned a little bit more about how the facility operates.
All in all, it was a great first meeting. We look forward to future visits from the troopers as the school year unfolds.
