Athletics department announces new student registration process

Port Byron Central School District Athletics Department now uses FamilyID, an online program in which families can register their children to participate in Port Byron athletic programs.

The FamilyID program allows the district to be more administratively efficient and environmentally friendly. It replaces the former manual paper system used by the district, eliminating the need for district nurses to complete, file and store hundreds of documents.

Students must register through Port Byron's FamilyID prior to participating in any of the district's athletic programs. Students not registered through FamilyID will not be allowed to participate.

Once registered through FamilyID, the system keeps track of each student's information in a FamilyID profile. Each student will need an up-to-date sports physical that parents/guardians must upload to the student’s profile.

Registration and personal information is automatically encrypted for security purposes.

For assistance with registration or questions about the new program, contact FamilyID at 888-800-5583 x1 or support@familyid.com. FamilyID also offers online chat during business hours, and support is available daily.

A message from the Athletic Director

I would like to welcome you to our athletic website. We are very excited to provide our student athletes, parents and community members with a way to access new information and updates throughout the year. Please take a moment to navigate this page and explore each link. We will continue to make adjustments to reflect changes to our programs and important upcoming dates.

I would also like to take a moment to discuss the unique merging opportunity we have created with Union Springs CSD for our student athletes. With the cooperation of the Union Springs community, we have merged several athletic programs. This merge offers our student/athletes from both school districts a broader range of sports to choose from, as well as strengthening the established sports. The merged sports are as follows:

  • Modified/JV/Varsity boys' and girls' Soccer (at Union Springs)
  • Modified/JV/Varsity field hockey
  • Modified and Varsity cross country
  • Modified football
  • Wrestling
  • Indoor track and field (at Union Springs)
  • Varsity football
  • Modified and Varsity wrestling
  • Varsity bowling (at Union Springs)
  • Varsity baseball (at Union Springs)

During the school year, transportation will be available for all merged sport practices and games to and from the host school.
